After a 15 year career as a journalist, travelling the world reporting for TV, radio, magazines and newspapers, she shifted her focus to personal essays. That led to the publication of her first book, Between Interruptions: Thirty Women Tell the Truth about Motherhood, and then to leading dozens of writing courses, workshops and retreats focussing on writing as a pathway to self-discovery and healing.

When she is not managing her media relations business, she is writing poetry, walking in the woods or swimming in the Pacific Ocean.
